| Spatial
Database Design, Development and Integration |
| The biggest advantage that a GIS
offers is the ability to relate attribute data with spatial
locations. Choosing from a variety of software, JAYA can design
a spatial database specialized for the needs of the user. Whether this
requires creating a stream layer from elevation models, or multiple
layers digitized from aerial photos, created from scratch, or adjusted
from baseline data, JAYA is equipped for these services. Once
the database is designed and developed, JAYA aids in the integration and upkeep of the database so that it becomes a dynamic source of
information for the future of the users. |

USDA Forest Service -
Ozark-St. Francis NF, Southern Region
Provided two key
hydrologic GIS data layers for the Ozark-St. Francis National
Forest. The first layer delineated and annotated
associated flood plains and flat ridge tops derived from DEM
using slope, aspect and slope position analysis. The
second, vector high-order stream data layers that were
created from digitized maps and hydrological model using 10
and 30 meter Digital Elevation Model (DEM) data. |
USDA Forest Service - Southern Region
Currently, JAYA is developing
visitors' map for the USDA Forest Service by converting
digital data archived in CAD drawings into ESRI GIS
environment. JAYA processes the CAD drawings such that each
level of drawings is stored in GIS data layer with the appropriate
attribute information. The layers are then constructed into
a map environment from which a film product is developed. |
| Custom Application Software Development |
| GIS can be
enhanced to truly meet the needs of a user. This is usually
limited only by the user's imagination and requirements and the
programmer's ability to develop or modify software.
JAYA's GIS specialists and programmers are skilled in designing
and developing customized GIS software applications. We
understand the importance of the design phase and need to
communicate with the user. Often prototyping approach is
used to achieve the final version. The design may only
require Avenue scripting in the case of ESRI's ArcView, or it may
require more complex programming in Visual Basic or another high
order language. Regardless of the requirements, JAYA's staff
has the experience and capabilities and looks forward to the
challenge. |

Sverdrup Technologies
Developed a
customized software application for an environmental management
GIS. The package was developed in the ESRI's ArcView
environment. The application allows environmental managers
and engineers to view and analyze data collected by field
environmental engineers and technicians. Site visualizations
include analysis of chemical residue, site, ground lithology and
monitoring well construction. Report and charts compliant
with agency requirements are generated. |

COLSA Corporation, Advanced
Research Center, US Army Space and Missile Defense Command |
| Developed a
custom software application to convert map data to a GIS format
which is subsequently translated to a format compatible with the
ModSAF Compact Terrain Data Base (CTDB), a battlefield simulation
environment. |
| Digitizing Services |
| Companies
and agencies are converting their maps and engineering data to
digital formats for use in GIS. JAYA is well staffed and
equipped to digitize data from various sources. JAYA's
employees are skilled in heads up digitizing and digitizing
using our tablet. The table allows for the digitizing of
data from any hard copy source such as topographic or parcel
maps. Using heads up digitizing, JAYA staff can
prepare data scanned maps. All digitizing tasks
undergo a rigorous quality control check by senior GIS
specialists before delivery to the customer. Distance
between our customer and us is not a factor. Our high
speed T1 line permits data exchange and delivery of the final
product via file transfer protocol site. Hard copy maps
can also be printed on our large format printer. Contact
us today for a price estimate. |
